Prophetic Evangelism

Posted by Marie under: Prophecy.

I can still remember the first time I received a personal prophecy from an anointed man of God. Out of a crowd of about 1500 people, without knowing us at all, he singled us out where we sat right at the back of the auditorium, and blessed us with a wonderful prophetic word of the Lord, so accurate and applicable to our lives. Growing up in a traditional church, the gifts of the Holy Spirit were totally foreign to me. To this day, nearly 13 years later, I still remember that prophecy. Who of us can not immediately recall a prophetic word that has blessed and encouraged us? If we, as believers, stand in awe of a prophetic word in season, how much more will unbelieving people in the world be blessed with a God who knows the intimate details of their lives?

Contrary to the belief amongst some Christians that prophecy is only meant for believers, God wants to use the prophetic in the lives of unbelievers too, as He used Joseph in the life of an unbelieving king, Pharaoh.Prophetic evangelism is defined as a personal word of wisdom and knowledge about the past, present or future, imparted to unbelievers, and often lead to opportunities to evangelize them. God can use believers like you and me, to impart it, or He can impart it directly to the unbeliever,eg Jesus appearing to Muslim people.

Prophetic evangelism is not just for a few elect prophets, but is another powerful tool for any believer wanting to share the message of salvation with the world. If we ask God to use us and declare ourselves available, He will use you and me to reach the world. You may be a bit hesitant and perhaps immediately decide this is not for you. Many believers testify that they thought they could not prophesy, until they started using the gift with unbelievers. Then they suddenly realised they could, and so can you and I! Remember, Paul encouraged us in 1 Cor 14 to desire to prophesy, more than any other spiritual gift. Do not feel intimidated - all of us are called to be His witnesses, to be salt and light and to spread the message of hope and salvation wherever we go.10 good reasons to start using prophetic evangelism

  • It is a method used in the Bible by men like Joseph, Elijah, Peter, Paul, etc.
  • Jesus used it with Peter (Luke 5:1-11), Zacchaeus (Luke 19:1-10).
  • We have the power and the ability to do it (Acts 1:8)
  • It speaks to and softens peoples’ hearts towards the Gospel.
  • It penetrates the defences people put up against God, for it cannot be explained logically. They know it is supernatural.
  • God takes the initiative, and we followe His leading. He knows who are ready and what they need to hear to open up their hearts.
  • It exposes secret sins, habits, fears, and hurts and bring it into His light.
  • It penetrates a person on all 3 levels: spirit, soul and body: a hostile mind, a stubborn will and hard heart, and a unbelieving spirit. It creates a spark of light in their spirit  because they realise God is both alive and personal and cares about them.
  • It is what God is saying and is part of His plan for His Body on earth. In a time like this people need a supernatural word from God.
  • It cuts across and exposes the wrong places people are looking for answers, eg mysticism, etc, and grabs their attention.

How do I become a prophetic evangelist?

  • Make evangelism a personal priority and cultivate compassion for the lost - look at every person with mercy and compassion, reminding yourself that you could be the only one standing in the gap for that lost soul. As ou start to intercede and develop a compassion for the lost, the opportunities for prophetic evangelism will increase.
  • Ask God and desire to become more prophetic, attend prophetic conferences and read books. As you learn more and read the wonderful testimonies, your faith will rise up and you will be able to say: I can do it!
  • Maintain a state of being sensitive and open to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
  • When you feel the prompting, be obedient.
  • Practice by ministering to believers first, in a safe environment - be honest and open and trust God that He is speaking through you.
  • Do not let the enemy stop you - remember, boldness has a great reward, and the blessing you will experience will far outweigh you feelings and fear of making a mistake!
  • Keep you heart and life pure and humble - as we grow in the prophetic it is very easy to start feeling pride and become almost blase about hearing God’s voice 100% accurate all of the time. We are human and are fallible, and will make mistakes; but God’s grace far outweigh those mistakes, and He wants you to step out in faith even if you make mistakes, rather than never doing something for fear of making mistake! As the saying goes, those who want to walk on water must get their feet wet.

Remember, we have a cloud of witnesses cheering us on (Heb 12:1-2), God is on our side, the Holy Spirit is leading us - we have only to boldly step out and open our mouths. Let us decide today to enter every public place with a sense of expectancy and obedience that God is going to use us to touch the hearts of people!

Make a Way!

Posted by admin under: Prophecy.

In our last e-Zine we shared about the dream Johan had.

About 3 weeks later we had approximately 500 mm of rain in 3 days, which lead to extensive flooding and damage on several farms. We were again reminded of this dream and stood in awe of the power of water that takes away everything in its path. The Spirit revealed to us that this physical rain and floods were symbolical of what the Lord is doing spiritually - washing away all false doctrine, strongholds and unbelief and making a way for His mighty River of Living Water!

As soon as the water started subsiding, Johan had a powerful conviction to do a prophetic action, i e doing a physical action that will have profound spiritual meaning. As God has used prophets, God has never just given they fiery words to say, God has given them graphic symbols to display - walking around naked to display the shamefulness of God’s people, wearing an ox yoke to symbolize the burden God’s people were placing on others, Hosea marrying a prostitute as a way to convey God’s love of Israel the whore, and so on.

One Saturday morning we donned our hiking boots, armed with 3 bottles containing pure olive oil, clean fountain water and a bottle of our hand-made red wine respectively, and a piece of bread, and went bundu bashing to the largest and highest lying dam on our farm.

There we broke the Bread, and took the Cup, and prayed and proclaimed healing, anointing and a fresh move of God’s Spirit all along the river as we emptied the water (His Living Water), the wine (His blood and redemption) and the oil (fresh anointing) into the river just below a waterfall originating from our dam.

We know that something has shifted in the spiritual realm.

Prophetic Word for 2009

Posted by admin under: Prophecy.

2009 will a a year of being filled with and manifesting the Holy Spirit. It will be led by joy; the ushering in of Kingdom manifestations will be led by joy! Forget about all kinds of feasts and fables for there is only one feast: a Jesus feast, only one King, King Jesus!

2009 spells, no, it prophecies, speaks into being, yes 2009 speaks into being Joy, Joy, Joy unspeakable to the world, and peace on earth. A year where the Spirit of the living God is going to move as never before, in presence, in glory, in fullness, in awesome healings, in resurrections, harvest of souls, provision of joy, peace and righteousness, a Kingdom manifesting year.

Be ready to see God move, His Spirit is hovering over us, especially those that carry the Word, which is the water, the streams of living water. Joyous festive singing and dancing are to break loose later this year, undignified parties of the Holy Ghost kind. NO MORE wailing walls. The party has begun… in fact, it has already started 2000 years ago! We have been misled by religious demons  (Heb 12:22-24 and Neh 8). Wash your faces and put on joy for your festive garments, it’s party time, lovers of Jesus! The Holy Ghost’s whirling and twirling of the heavenly kind (Seph 3:17) has started, don’t miss the trains and rivers of joy flowing from the east (the temple of God).

You, Beloved, are the temple of God, with your face turned fully to the east and flesh blinding rays of the Son (Ezek 47). It will overtake you, so be prepared to drown in the joys of Heaven, in the joy of your Father, rivers of Godly joy, Amazon rivers driving the sea of sin and wailing back hundreds of miles.. Put on your party shoes, put on your dancing shoes.

Let the joy of the Lord explode in you, through you.

Joy unspeakable and full of glory, joy, joy, joy, feasts of joy, no more wailing walls, but waves of joy and wonder and peace and provision.

joy2.jpg

The year of the Spirit in fruit, in gifts, in fullness, in peace, joy and righteousness!

The kingdom of peace, the kingdom of joy, and the kingdom of righteousness to manifest in all its fullness this year. Spirit of the living God, Holy Spirit, move your people with love feasts of joyous celebration this year!

It’s party time, no more tears, no more wailing, no more false emotional worship, it’s party time, Saints, let the joy of the Lord overflow from us to the lost, and let them be drawn like bees drawn to honey jars. Let the joy flow like heavenly honey from Father’s throne.

Make room, make room, bus loads, ships, oceans, terrestrial spaces in your minds and hearts for joyous feasts. The joy of the Lord is our strength in 2009, strengthen yourself with joy, let joy move your feet, set them a’dancin before your God with joy, joy, joy.

Father is setting up one or two places where joy, harmony and rhythm of the drums will lead some of the greatest worship ever with powerful instruments never seen or heard before. Leading from the southern tip of Africa. From the South, and the North every continent will follow after the example from Southern African drums, harmony and rhythm.

Joy to the world! The anointed drum, voices and worship drive out fear, demons of sickness and poverty, and spontaneously bring healing as well as peace and righteousness…all three together will testify of the awesome power and fullness of our God and the resurrection power of the Holy Spirit!

I speak joy, proclaim joy into hearts and places where there is no joy, peace into every situation on earth, as in heaven so on earth.

Great feasts of Joy, peace that surpasses all understanding, oneness in Jesus Christ our Lord, who died for all.

Where there is tribulation, I speak peace, joy and righteousness – the manifestation of the Kingdom of God in His fullness, where there’s end time tribulation expectation, I call the perfection of God. I call encouragement, edification, building up, no fear of tribulation, of rumours of wars and temples and feasts and keeping of ritual and fables and the like. I call as it is in heaven so on earth, I proclaim the favourable year of the kingdom of God: Peace, Joy and Righteousness in the Holy Ghost.

What we pray and what we say, is what we proclaim this year, and what we will receive. Do not proclaim stale doctrines of places and lightweight signs, but only one sign: Jesus the only sign – the sign of Jonah, no other sign is of any worth! I call the Kingdom of joy, peace and righteousness to manifest, to drive out the kingdom of tribulation, sickness and death out in the Name of Jesus. As it is in heaven, so we pray in the Name of our Father and His Son, Jesus Christ with the full manifestation and resurrection power of the Holy Ghost.

It’s time! It’s time, My Sons and Daughters, to take over the whole earth so that peace, joy and righteousness may manifest on this earth - not wars, rumours of wars. Let My Kingdom come, My kingdom of peace, joy and righteousness. It is time, it is take over time, let it flow, let it flow, let it show! Let peace reign, let sickness and death vanish in righteousness! No more manmade kings or kingdoms, but the King of kings and the Kingdom of His peace must manifest - let it manifest, let it manifest!

The essence of the Kingdom message is that it must be manifested now, and that it will determine your reward (which is Godly works) - theology and doctrines will be destroyed by fire when Jesus comes. Therefore you have one chance to add to your talents (Kingdom talents) of righteousness, joy and peace, and the time is now - not for someday or for the rapture, but right here and now. God is challenging you and me to manifest as His sons and daughters right now!

Run like Paul, focus on Jesus Christ and the Cross, punch to make a difference for the Kingdom, out of a position of resting in Him, and His Spirit flowing through you effortlessly! Let His streams of living water gush forth effortlessly!

During April we attended a conference on the Father’s Love hosted by Peter and Heather Jackson in Shaftesbury, Dorset. What a special time for spirit, soul and body…

We were a small group of about 25 from all ages, walks of life and even different coutries. For us it was a special time of being pampered in His love, as well as having time to fellowship with and minister to brothers and sisters in Christ. Again and again we realised, that no matter if you’ve been a Christian for 2 or for 50 years, we never seem able to really grasp the depth of God’s unconditional love for us. We need to be reminded of it and immersed in His liquid love to grasp His heart for His children. He really took us to His banqueting house and His banner over us was love, love, love… (Song of Solomon 2:4).

Only when we have experienced it, we will be able to be channels through which His love can flow to a lost and broken world. Our Daddy is so full of grace and tender compassion and during this special time of coming apart and focussing totally on Him, He confirmed His purpose for our lives and ministered to us in a profound way.

We all need this time of coming apart, away from all that distract us from our Father’s love for us and His purpose for our lives…

 Taizé

img_2463.JPG

During April this year we spent a week at Taizé, a village and commune in the Saône-et-Loire département, Bourgogne région, in east-central France, near Mâcon. In Taizé lives the Taizé Community, a monastic, ecumenical, international community founded in 1940 by Frère Roger, which has today just over 100 brothers from many different countries and from different Christian traditions.

Taizé is also known as a place of pilgrimage and coming apart primarily for young adults: every week, hundreds and thousands of visitors, generally between the ages of 17 and 30, visit Taizé for an experience of prayer and community life.

During our time spent at Taize we experienced a profound sense of God’s peace and an easy lifestyle of simplicity and no clutter. We also met believers from various different countries and it was amazing to see how unity is possible even though you do not speak another’s language; our group for sharing represented believers from Switzerland, France, Sweden, Denmark and South Africa. We were surprised to find that nearly 50% of the young people visiting Taizé are not Christians - however, our loving Daddy has a way of touching them where they need it most. Many people return to Taizé again and again to regain their sense of purpose and to experience the God’s peace and serenity in a non-threatening simple way.

Seven steps to help your kids stand tall

Posted by admin under: Raising Godly children.

Be a leader yourself!

Are you a leader or a follower? Generally speaking, parents who are followers will produce children who are followers. And followers are very good at just standing around in a crisis, or floating along. God has not created us to be passive - He gave us authority (Gen 1:28) to rule and reign as the Kingdom heirs we are! He has called everyone for a specific purpose (Jer 1, Psalm 139) and He wants us out there doing, conquering and saving and changing the world. Passivity is death! Whatever you do, don’t stand around. Faith is an action.

Be a spiritual submarine…

A godly parent is the unseen spiritual submarine that lurks below the surface of every activity of his child’s life. Though you may be out of sight, you are not without influence. Stand in the gap for your children (Eze 22:30), for through your righteous prayers (James 5:16) you have the ability to affect situations where you are not present in person. Speak prophetically over your children, and call the things that are not as though they were (Rom 4:17), proclaim God’s will in their lives and bring to pass His plan with their lives. We have been given the authority - let’s rule and create with our words!

Expect your children to be leaders.

Matthew 9:29 states that it will be to you according to your faith. There is a saying that say “If you can see it, you can have it!” Do you see your children as leaders and expect them to be leaders? Then they will begin to see themselves as leaders. What are your expectations? Our Heavenly Father expects us to be leaders - Whow, if He sees us as leaders, who are we to be timid, passive, and full of unbelief and fear? Let’s step up boldly and come up higher (Rev 11:12) and take hold of our God-given inheritance and purpose!

Encourage the leader in your child.

Every leader gets discouraged. Encourage your children and help them to become full of hope and faith regarding their dreams, hopes, aspirations, etc. Constantly remind them of the wonderful plans God have for them (Jer 29:11-13) and how He wants to use them. Our Father constantly remind us through His Word to be strong and courageous, not to fear, for He is with us (Joshua 1:9).

Re-affirm your children as leaders.

A child quickly forgets and they need to be reminded frequently who they are when the pressure is up. When they start to doubt or start to follow the crowd, be quick to remind them that they are leaders. In His Word, God reminds us constantly of our identity in Christ, of who we are in Him: a royal priesthood, a chosen generation (1 Pet 2:9), heirs and co-heirs (Rom 8:17)… He will keep on affirming us till the day of the Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:8).

Support your children in their leadership.

The greatest way to support your children in their leadership is to be there for them and to listen to them. When they need to talk, you need to listen. They will go through some tough times where all their friends take the easy way and they have to stand tall - that is the time to support them and to listen to their hearts. And sometimes, all they need is just to talk and for you to listen, without offering any advise or solution, but just listen in such a way that your child will feel absolutely accepted, loved and supported. Our Father is always there for us: Psa 34:15 says “The eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their cry.”

Reward their leadership.

When your child demonstrate leadership, you should reward him. Not with a gift, or money or material things, but bless and reward them with your words. Acknowledge and praise them - let your words always be full of grace, sprinkled with salt (Col 4:6). Remember that a word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver (Pro 25:11). When your children stand up and lead, you can count on it that criticism will follow them. Let your words support, encourage, reward and affirm your children. You know that your children are worth it. Our Heavenly Father considered our worth so high that He gave His only Son to die for us. He gave us a whole book, His written Word, full of encouragement, affirmation, love and support… Should we not do the same for our children?

Remember, there are no guarantees - we are still human, and our children are still human. As we still make mistakes, so will our children. And as our Heavenly Father is forever gracious and forgiving towards us, let us be gracious and forgiving to our children, and keep on encouraging them. Never loose heart, however great the disappointment may by - Thank God, our Heavenly Father never loose heart with us!

You may think you have hopelessly failed your children and that your son or daughter may never come in. That’s how the father of the prodigal son (Luke 15) must have felt. No, it ain’t over yet! Prodigals have a way of coming home - keep the fatted calf ready…
