On eagle's wings

When we allow the Holy Spirit to flow, lead and teach us, we discover the riches and depths of God’s Word, as never before. We begin to eat the Bread of Heaven and to drink the sweet New Wine of the Holy Spirit. We then see and experience Christ in all Scripture, and we  begin to understand the language of the Bible, not only on an intellectual level, but most of all on a life changing spiritual level. The written Word Jesus is then written on the tables of your heart and it becomes bone of your bone and flesh of your flesh through the indwelling Christ...

 Da (the) facts

In the Word of God the eagle has the spiritual meaning of conqueror, resurrection and heavenly things.

Eagles are king amongst all birds. The majestic golden eagle which derives its name from its golden crown which becomes more evident with maturity) builds its nest in high rocky cliffs and has a wing span of 2-3 m. Eagles mate for life, and both parents sit on the nest and care for the young ones. They are first taught to stand and then to fly. At first the parents will carry the young ones on their backs whilst flying, until the little one is strong enough to fly on its own. Eagles are very discerning about what they will eat, and because of their excellent vision (8 times better than a human being), eagles can choose their prey.

Eagles can see a storm coming and soar above the rain and wind... in fact it uses the wind. They effortlessly stay in the air for hours on end, by floating on air currents with almost no movement of its wings. Eagles renew their strength and youthful appearance by shedding their feathers and have a long life span (20 – 30 years in nature).The eagle’s biggest enemy is the snake or serpent.

Da (the) flow

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the majestic King of the air, the conqueror who has overcome the enemy, even triumphed over death (1 Cor 15:55-58; Rev 3:21). To Him is given all power in heaven and on the earth (Mat 28:18). By conquering all powers and pricipalities, He gained the victory and now sits in heavenly places (Eph 1:20-21). Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd, who carries us, His lambs and sheep (Isa 40:11) like an eagle parent (Deut 32:11-12), and lovingly cares and feeds us.

 We are partakers in the Godly nature, and a heavenly calling, and have been seated in heavenly places with Christ (Eph 1:3, 3:10). We have the authority in Jesus’ Name  (Mark 6:15-20) and should soar like eagles above earthly problems and situations (refer to My Father’s Final Word?)

Eagle Christians will “wait for Jehovah shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint. Isa 40:31.  Ps 91 describes the safe haven or “nest “ and protection of eagle Christians, and in Ps 103, we are promised that He will satisfy our desires with good things, so that our youth is renewed like the eagle. Eagle Christians know the wind of the Holy Spirit and use it to soar and glide effortlessly above the worries of this world (John 3:8, Rom 8:14). Just as is the case with the eagle, our biggest enemy is the serpent satan (spelt with lower case because he has been defeated), but we don’t have to fear him because we already have the power to trample on “snakes and scorpions”, insignificant little monsters with large masticators (speaking of legalism and religion)(Luke 10:19)

Eagle: Hebrew: nesher (Strongs #5404) : to tear apart, eagle or other big bird of prey  so called from its tearing its prey with its beak), referred to for its swiftness of flight (Deu 28:49; 2 Sa 1:23), its mounting high in the air (Job 39:27), its strength (Psa 103:5), its setting its nest in high places (Jer 49:16), and its power of vision (Job 39:27-30).

Greek: aetos (Strongs #105): eagle; from root aer : wind  from its wind like flight..

Da (the) New Wine... Have a sip...

So begin to rise from the top of the mountain in the eye of the Son, Beloved Sons and Daughters, always rising towards the sun, and enlarging your circle of flight and influence, always rising higher and higher, till you loose yourself completely in Him and become mere points in the air, gliding effortlessly on the wind of the Holy Spirit…
