The d-Vine e-Zine
From the Father’s heart to His beloved Bride….
Hi Saints
Since our last e-Zine, we have traveled and ministered both abroad and in Mozambique. What an awesome time of ministering, refreshing and fellowship! We want to bless and thank everybody who supported us in prayer and finances - the harvest of souls and miracles are heavenly riches laid for you. We appreciate and love you and would not have been able to do it without your love, prayers and support.
The Ghetto, Brooklyn, New York
In the ghetto in Brooklyn, New York, God is moving and touching children and people through the vision and ministry of one man, Bill Wilson, and his team of 150 full-time personnel, who saw the need and responded to stand in the gap for innocent children and the pain brought by drugs, physical and emotional abuse, crime, murder and total neglect.
To feel the trusting hand of a young child in your hand whilst praying and ministering during the sidewalk Sunday School on a Friday afternoon in Harlem, and then with shock seeing the signs of abuse, burns and even marks of drug needles on that same young arm and hand, nearly breaks your heart. After we walked through the group of about 100 children whilst softly interceding for them, while they were watching the little play being performed by the team of Metro Ministries to illustrate the Christian principle of taking your problems to Jesus and praying about them, the healing and loving power of the Holy Spirit just moved through the children and opened up the hurts, pain and rejection - they started to cry as God's Spirit started to minister to them. Some of the moms also came for prayer - how great is our God! More...
Heart hunters, not head hunters
In Hagerstown we attended a performance by an Indian Children's Choir, travelling the world to free up funds for distributing God's Word all over the world. The Holy Spirit ministered profoundly to us just by witnessing the total adoration and love with which these children worship and glorify God. Click here to be a witness to them singing open the heavens and to read the testimony of how one book of the Bible, the Gospel of John, changed an entire tribe from head hunters to heart hunters.
A Soul Safari in the African bush
Back in Africa, we joined a group of Global Celebration (Georgian and Winnie Banov) of approximately 25 New Wine missionaries (mostly from the States) to bring the message of Hope and Salvation to one of the poorest countries in the world, Mozambique. In Maputo we ministered at the Scala Theatre and Machava, one of the bases where Iris Ministries care for abandoned children and orphans.
We were allowed to visit the dumping grounds where a whole community literally lives of the dumps, in some places still burning. Every time a dumping truck arrives, they literally fight to be the first to grab some spoil from the truck - a fight for survival. Here we lavished God's love and acceptance on a rejected and broken community, worshipped and played with the children, saw miracles happen, and people opening up to the Gospel of peace and salvation.
Then we flew out to Pemba (situated in the Northern part of Mozambique) and stayed at the base of Iris Ministries where they care for hundreds of orphans, and where volunteers from all over the world come together in unity and in Spirit to worship, to serve and to bring hope, love and salvation. We went deep into the African bush (3 hours drive on an open flatbed truck) to tell them about Jesus. And the multitudes came... After witnessing the first miracle, they opened their hearts and received with the eager innocence and expectation of children... Read more and listen to African pastors worshipping God...
How great is our God! During these mission trips we were so aware of God's awesome love, care and provision for every human being. He showered us with His blessings and although we sometimes thought we were ministering to others, but actually, God was ministering to us and filling us up! It was a blessed, but also humbling and life-changing experience and as the song says: "the things of this world grows strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace."
The first night we arrived home and I opened the front door to our home, I was struck with a sense of unreality that it really wasn't my home! During the first week we experienced "withdrawal symptoms", but knew why Jesus commanded the disciples in Act 1:8 to be witnesses to Him "both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth." There is work to be done everywhere - in your near vicinity and work and home environment, but there is also work to be done to the end of the earth. For those of you who feel the call and voice of the Holy Spirit to venture out to a foreign place or country, do not say no - Trust the Lord to provide and prepare the way for you, whether alone or with your family. You will never be the same and it will be one of the most enriching and fulfilling spiritual experiences you will ever have. Go for it with everything within you!
One of our brothers in Christ, Alex, said something profound and wonderful during our stay at Pemba. He said one day Jesus said to him: Alex, I am going to Mozambique. Are you coming with Me? And he went...
Do not miss out on the move of God - Where Jesus goes, is where you will find a place of tremendous blessing - whether it is Africa, India, France, USA, Sweden or where ever! It could be for a weekend, a week, a month, a year or perhaps a lifetime. And if you feel you are called not to go, but to send and support others, whether financially or with prayer, God loves you and we love and appreciate you - you are part of the Body of Christ and are fulfilling an equally important part of His plan to save the world. Together we can do it - for if God is for us, who can be against us?

completed your book. Could have read it fast but decided to soak it
in...which is usually a little slower process for me...and also to
then live in it's Scriptures. What a pleasure!"
