Paul’s travailing is for us to be like Jesus. In Eph 5.2 Jesus is described as a lovely fragrant sacrifice to Father… In The Message it says “His love was not cautious but extravagant… He didn’t love in order to get something from us but to give everything of Himself to us. Love like that." In the King James it says “an offering, a sacrifice.. a sweet-smelling savor” and in the Amplified “a sweet fragrance”.

Jesus is a gift from and a sacrifice to God. In Rom 12:1 He calls us to be a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God…your reasonable service…(see last weeks e-zine of what you are)…I am what I am by the grace of God!

A lovely fragrance! Are you?

Da (the) Flow

You are a prayer …you become a prayer from Father’s heart… a fragrance being poured into the golden incense bowl and being poured forth by the Fire of the Holy Spirit - a supplication, a prayer which is acceptable and holy before God, one which He blesses and pours out over His Holy Ones.

You are a gift whom God wants to give away, pour out to His bride, a bride’s gift to His Body. Let’s recall the time when Mary anointed the feet of Jesus with a pound of ointment made of pure spikenard. It is and was and will always be extremely personal. It happened prior to the Cross, Gethsemane and the pouring out of His blood and His life…as a fragrant sacrifice for you and me.

Since the Cross (prior and since… the Cross being the dividing line between old and new), we, you and me, have now become the bottle of precious spikenard ointment poured forth by Jesus, for Father, over His Bride (in a bath of hot fragrant fiery Holy Ghost oil.. prepared for our King) poured forth over us, His Body. Each one of us is a heavenly gift from above to the rest of His body - flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone.

Gift: dõron: A gift or present; most frequently it denotes an offering to God. In Eph 2: 8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” It shows that it is unearned and undeserved, in order that God alone might receive the glory and praise. Your words and deeds are Holy gifts from above – they are not for yourself but intended to benefit others. The Holy Spirit is a gift, every good and every perfect gift comes from the Father of Lights (James 1:17 ), Jesus is a gift and you are a gift!

You are a gift with a Gift within… Give it away. Give yourself away - a lovely fragrance, a treasure in earthen vessels. Christ in us, the hope of glory… Give it away as a fragrant gift to all who are hungry and thirsty.
