WWW Worship

This week we meditate on the WWW of the believer’s faith walk. This specific revelation word is very close to Johan’s heart, and should be deeply meditated upon. What does the WWW stand for: Word Worship Wonders. Today we will look at the second W: Worship.

There is a true story about a Jew that married a Christian lady without really knowing what he was getting himself into… She started evangelizing his family and friends. After a while he was begging her to stop evangelizing and telling his friends and family about Jesus, for he was so afraid that he would also loose the already dwindling group of friends all. Surprisingly she agreed, but she had one request. Standing in front of this taller than life husband of hers, and tapping him on the chest with her forefinger, she requested the following: “I will, if you will promise me you will ask your God, the God of your father Abraham …who this Jesus is!”

He answered yes in order to silence her. Then, a month or two later, he went fishing and whilst casting, his conscience reminded him of his promise… And being an orthodox Jew, he always kept his word.

“Ok God, who is this Jesus anyway?” he asked.

He later testified that the next moment it was if his eyes changed into X-rays and he looked right through his skin into his veins… On every cell, every pore, every bone marrow cell, every blood cell were written Jeshua.. Jeshua.. Jeshua.. Everywhere he looked, right through his whole body, the words Jesus, Jesus, Jesus were written…

Needless to say that he immediately accepted Jesus as his Savior.

This true story and testimony changed the way I worship for everĀ  - for now I know and feel my every cell shouting out the Name above all Names when I worship my King and my Lord…

(EXTRACTED FROM JOHAN’S BOOK My Father’s Final Word?)

If you truly believe and grasp this, your whole life will be an act of worship: your joy, obedience and faith. Joyous worship is liberating and faith-building and breaks down strongholds and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Co 10:5).

And Nehemiah, the governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the Levites who taught the people, said to all the people, This day is holy to Jehovah your God. Do not mourn or weep. For all the people wept when they heard the words of the Law. Then he said to them, Go eat the fat and drink the sweet, and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our LORD. And do not be sorry, for the joy of Jehovah is your strength. And the Levites quieted all the people, saying, Be quiet, for the day is holy. And do not be grieved. and all the people went to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words which were declared to them. Neh 8:9-12
