The ruin of a kingdom is a little thing in God’s sight, in comparison with division among a handful of sinners redeemed by the blood of Christ. – Robert C Chapman –

Do you want to see the glory of God fill the earth? Do you want to be part of His Body, operating in unity and taking the world by storm, with signs, wonders and miracles following you?
When God’s people were of one accord and made one sound to praise Him, His glory filled the temple and no-one could remain standing (2 Chr 5:13). Likewise in the New Testament, we read that many signs, wonders and miracles occurred when they were of one accord in Solomon’s Porch (Acts 5:12). The most powerful revivals were born from believers being of one accord, of one mind (Ph 2:2).
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we can differ about so many small and actually insignificant things, doctrinal differences, prejudices, etc. The enemy comes to steal and destroy (John 10:10), to divide and rule, because he knows what immense power resides in unity. However, the one thing we can all agree upon, is Jesus Christ. Oneness means to focus on one thing. Let’s begin to focus on Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Heb 12:1-2) and set aside the things bringing disharmony and strife.
The desire of Jesus’ heart for His people shines through in His powerful prayer in John 17 – In tender and earnest supplication He uses His Oneness with the Father to convey the importance of unity: not just your oneness with Him, but also unity and one accord with each other. That is the type of Bride for which He will return – not one operating in strife, discord and jealousies!

Be proactive today and promote oneness by contacting and encouraging a Christian brother or sister with whom you had differences in the past. Also make a firm resolve not to dwell on differences, but to focus on Jesus Christ in every situation!
